fine art
ABOUT
I have always had talent for the arts and parents that encouraged me to explore my passion. But for the majority of my life I pushed art away, instead pursuing a path that would "guarantee" financial stability. Regardless of all the jobs I have had and enjoyed, I could not get rid of that itch I had for fine art. Either way, I still ignored it.
It wasn't until I befriended a ballet dancer that I experienced, for the first time, a human being fully embracing their passion. I was intrigued, although not yet convinced. I made more friends from the ballet world and we began to collaborate. I photographed them in the studios, then at gala performances, until eventually, I ended up backstage with the Mariinsky Ballet in Russia.
Then the pandemic hit and I returned to the US. The world was closed. I had nothing else to do, so I turned to art. It was during these isolated moments that I realized this is what I wanted for my life. My goal is not to sell my art, but to create artwork that challenges me, and pushes my skill to the highest levels possible.
